
Chemical Peel
PRE- AND POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Pre- Treatment Instructions

Avoid sun exposure prior to treatment. Sunburned skin cannot be treated.

Do not bleach, wax, tweeze or use depilatory creams in treatment area for 3 days prior to treatment.

Discontinue use of retinoid (Retin A, Tazorac, Differin, etc) and Hydroquinone products 7 days prior to treatment.

Discontinue use of 10% or higher Alpha Hydroxyl Acids, Glycolic Acids, and exfoliants 7 days prior to peel.

If you have a history of perioral herpes begin prophylactic antiviral therapy 1 day before treatment.

Deep Peels Only: Schedule your treatment at a time when peeling will not disrupt your social obligations
Day of Treatment Instructions

Omit lotions, creams, make up or deodorant in area to be treated

Inform provider of any changes in medical history
Post- Treatment
BioRePeel
Skin may feel dry the following day. Minimal to no healing time.
Glow Peel
Pinkness might be present after peel. Mild peeling (if any) for 1 to 2 days.
VI Peel
Redness might be present (and last up to several hours) after peel.
Skin may flake or peel on days 3-5.
Do not pick, scratch or peel at treated skin.
Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 48 hours.
Follow post peel instruction regarding products included in your take-home kit.
Avoid sun exposure if possible and use the provided SPF daily.
Contraindications

Accutane: 6 months discontinued

Retin-A: Discontinue for 7 days prior to treatment.

Pregnant or Breastfeeding/Lactating

Allergy to Aspirin*

Sunburned or compromised skin

Newly treated permanent makeup areas can not be treated with chemical peel for 30 days.

Active cold sores or lesions

Active facial rash
-
Facial Waxing requires a 3 day waiting period.
