What Is Glutathione?
Glutathione is a naturally occurring antioxidant produced by the body that plays a key role in cellular detoxification, immune function, and protection against oxidative stress. Supplemental Glutathione is used to support overall wellness, liver function, skin quality, and recovery from environmental and metabolic stressors.
How It Works:
Glutathione works by neutralizing free radicals, supporting the body’s detoxification pathways, and aiding in cellular repair. It helps regenerate other antioxidants and supports liver function, which is essential for processing toxins and metabolic byproducts. Benefits develop with consistent use.
Expected Benefits:
Patients may experience improved energy levels, enhanced immune support, improved skin clarity and tone, support for liver and detoxification pathways, and improved recovery from physical or environmental stress. Benefits are cumulative and vary by individual.
When to Use:
Glutathione is administered as a subcutaneous injection according to the dosing schedule provided by your medical provider. Timing and frequency will be individualized based on treatment goals and response.
Possible Side Effects:
Common side effects may include mild injection site redness or irritation, headache, nausea, bloating, or fatigue. These effects are typically mild and short-lived. Less common side effects may include dizziness, flushing, abdominal discomfort, or allergic-type reactions.
Contact Your Provider If You Experience:
Persistent or worsening nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, chest tightness, rash, itching, swelling, or any signs of an allergic reaction. Call 911 for difficulty breathing or severe reactions.
Who Should Not Use:
Suite Skin will not prescribe Glutathione to patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a known allergy to Glutathione or its components, or have active or uncontrolled medical conditions unless cleared by a provider. You must notify our medical team if you have, develop, or suspect any contraindicated condition at any time during treatment.
Treatment Expectations:
Glutathione is not an instant treatment. Benefits develop gradually with consistent use and are enhanced by proper hydration, nutrition, and lifestyle habits. Results vary and are not guaranteed.
Patient Responsibility:
Use Glutathione only as prescribed. Do not change dosing or frequency without provider approval. Store medication properly. Attend follow-up appointments as required and report any side effects or concerns promptly.
Questions: Contact your provider with any questions or concerns.
